How to use a record
Our method
A fact on another page may cite only a record marked page opened or full text read.
Our method
Unread and unavailable records explain a blank. They do not support a market claim.
Still blank
The home page shows the live counts. The 2022 EU communication was opened as a plan, not as a finished rule. Passing a count line does not close the blanks on each page.
The hub sorts drone users into recreational flying, certificated remote pilots, public safety, and education. Under certificated remote pilots it links to a Part 107 waiver and to Part 107 airspace authorizations. Under advanced operations it links to package delivery and to dispensing chemicals and agricultural products.
The linked Part 107, Remote ID, waiver, and delivery pages were not read. Link labels are not the rule text.
The page names Regulation 2019/947 and Regulation 2019/945. It says the rules follow risk and do not split leisure flying from commercial flying. It names three categories: open, specific, and certified. It says 2019/947 has applied since 31 December 2020 in the EU Member States, Norway, and Liechtenstein, and that Switzerland and Iceland are expected.
The articles of the two regulations, the AMC, and the member-state differences were not opened.
The domain page states that there are 1.6 million or more registered drone operators in Europe, under one set of EU rules, with authorization by member-state authorities.
The 1.6 million figure is EASA's own sentence. This institute did not open the national registers or check the date of the count.
The English page lists registration, flight permission or approval, a flight-plan report, a flight log, and accident reporting. It says aircraft of 100 g or more must be registered, show a registration ID, and carry a remote ID function. It also lists a remote-pilot certificate and a UAS certification as other rules. It marks a DIPS 2.0 manual as revised on 24 March 2025.
The Japanese statute, the PDFs, and the DIPS manual were not opened. The March 2025 date is the manual note on this page, not a claim that every rule changed that day.
The page that opened is an index. Its headings point to regulations and consultations, policy programmes, police guidance, and a UAS Advisory Committee.
No UK rule text was opened from those links. Distances, weight classes, and forms stay blank.
The page, last updated 19 March 2025, says Remote ID is a drone in flight broadcasting identification and location that other parties can receive. It says registered drones, including recreation, business, and public safety, must follow the linked Remote ID rule. It names three paths: a Standard Remote ID drone, a broadcast module flown in sight, or flight inside an FAA-Recognized Identification Area without that equipment, still in sight.
14 CFR part 89, the declaration-of-compliance list, the area map, and the linked PDFs were not opened. The page body we read states no effective date. A future choice between a serial number and a Session ID is not described as available now.
A Drone Strategy 2.0 for a Smart and Sustainable Unmanned Aircraft Eco-System in Europe
European Commission2022-11-29eu-drone-strategy-2
The text is COM(2022) 652 final, Brussels, 29 November 2022. The opening, the conclusion, and the closing list were read. That list says the Commission intends 19 actions, including air-rule changes, standard scenarios, certified-category rules, vertiport rules, and pilot training.
A later direct download of this PDF returned 403. The notes use a successful retrieval of the same URL. The staff working document SWD(2022) 366 was not read. Intends means a 2022 plan, not proof the actions are finished. Defence funding and a counter-drone package are named and are not explained here.
Part 101 (Unmanned Aircraft and Rockets) Manual of Standards 2019
Federal Register of Legislation, Australia2026-10-09au-part101-register
The register page titles the Part 101 Manual of Standards 2019 and says it is in force, authorised by the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998. It shows compilation C11, dated 9 October 2026, id F2026C00984.
The manual text was not opened. A later text URL returned the register home shell, not the instrument. The CASA website still did not connect. No distance, weight, or permission rule is stated from this page.
Civil Aviation Administration of China, English home
CAACcaac-en-home
The English home opened on 6 November 2026. The headlines in view were civil-aviation meetings, a green-development plan, and a winter flight schedule. No drone-rule headline was in that list.
The linked news stories were not opened. A Chinese-language drone page was not opened. This home does not state a drone strategy.
The home page groups products under drone as first responder, inspection, mapping, and national security, and it names public safety among its industries.
This is a product menu. No contract, price, or independent award was on the page. A menu is not a government strategy.
The about page says Parrot designs professional micro-UAVs for defence, public safety, government, and enterprise, names an ANAFI range, and states 2024 revenue of 78 million euros, with more than 400 people.
The revenue and headcount are the company own words. No annual filing and no contract were opened.
The English home lists a 2 November 2026 notice of a large project order, a 20 October note on a SOTEN drone and SpaceData, and a 10 September note on a NEDO program with Preferred Networks.
Those releases were not opened. No customer, price, or aircraft count is stated from the headlines alone.
Compilation 11 was opened. Sections 4.03 to 4.05, 5.12, and 9.05, and the weight notes in 10.01, were read. A controlled-aerodrome no-fly zone is barred except listed cases. A tether there is no longer than 150 feet and no higher than 150 feet. An EVLOS flight needs visibility of at least 5,000 metres, and must be landed if visibility falls below that.
Most of the 211 pages were not read. The 7 km and 8.5 km figures are the approach-path shape in section 4.05, not a rule that every drone stay that far from an airport. The weight notes cite CASR 101.237, which was not opened. The CASA website still did not connect.
Section 101.1, as opened on eCFR, says Part 101 prescribes United States rules for moored balloons over 6 feet or 115 cubic feet, kites over 5 pounds, amateur rockets other than aerial firework displays, and certain unmanned free balloons.
This is not Australia Part 101 and not the small unmanned aircraft rule. Later sections of Part 101 were not read. The word drone was not in the applicability text that was read.
The page says a drone under 250 grams need not be registered or marked and does not need a pilot certificate, but microdrone rules still apply. Basic certificate age is 14, advanced is 16, and level 1 complex is 18. Insurance is not required for standard categories and may be required for a special flight operations certificate. Individual fines on the page run up to 5,000 Canadian dollars for an unregistered drone.
Part IX itself was not opened. The fine lines are the explainer, not the regulation text. Corporate fines on the same page are higher and were read, but they are not repeated here as a complete penalty code.
The English regulations index lists the Civil Aviation Law of the People Republic of China with the date 1 September 2015. The other visible labels are laws, CCAR, airworthiness directives, normative documents, and notices.
The law text was not opened. No drone-specific rule was on the index we read. A 2015 date on a law title is not a drone strategy.
Unmanned aircraft hub, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore
CAAS2026-05-09caas-ua-hub
The hub, last updated 9 May 2026, says unmanned aircraft can help recreation, education, public service, and industry, and that unsafe flying can endanger aviation in Singapore. It links to rules, no-fly zones, registration, remote identification, permits, basic training, and a pilot licence. Those linked pages were not opened.
This is a directory. No distance, weight, or permit rule is stated from the hub alone. On 6 November 2026 the old public-passengers path redirected to this unmanned-aircraft page.
Canadian Aviation Regulations, Part IX sections on small and medium RPAS
Justice Laws, Canadacanada-part-ix-sections
The consolidated FullText was opened. Sections 900.06, 900.13, 901.11, 901.14, 901.17 to 901.19, 901.25, and 901.26 were read. An aircraft of 250 g or more must be registered unless a special certificate applies. A crew member may not act within 12 hours after an alcoholic drink. Height stays 400 feet above the ground, or 100 feet above a building if within 200 feet horizontally.
Most of Part IX was not read. Divisions V and VI were not opened. The text shows SOR/2025-70 on the registration and crew sections that were read.
Certificated remote pilots, including commercial operators
Federal Aviation Administrationfaa-part107-explainer
The page says the operations-over-people rule became effective on 21 April 2021. It says a small drone under 55 pounds may be flown for work under Part 107. Registration costs 5 dollars and lasts 3 years. It says Remote ID broadcast is required from 16 September 2023 if the drone needs a registration number, unless it is flown in a FRIA.
Part 107 itself was not opened. The 21 April 2021 date is this page. The January 2021 Federal Register opening gave different effective dates and was not reconciled here. Waiver section numbers are labels, not the waiver text.
Recreational flyers and community-based organizations
Federal Aviation Administrationfaa-recreational-explainer
The page says register a drone of 250 grams or more, take the free TRUST test, and keep the drone in sight or use a visual observer next to you. In Class G airspace the page says fly at or below 400 feet. It says Part 107 is the default for drones under 55 pounds when the flight is not purely for fun, and that the fun exception is 49 USC 44809.
Section 44809 and Advisory Circular 91-57D were not opened. The 400-foot line is this page, not the statute. Remote ID is stated as beginning 16 September 2023 for drones that need a registration number, outside a FRIA.
Prohibited airspace and methods of flight for unmanned aircraft
Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourismmlit-prohibited-airspace
The page says permission is required around airports, in emergency airspace, at or above 150 metres, and over densely inhabited districts. A permission for those areas does not allow flight in emergency airspace. For night, beyond sight, and flights that cannot keep distance, a certified pilot and a certified aircraft under 25 kilograms, with access control and a flight manual, can remove the need for approval.
This is the ministry explainer, not the articles of the Civil Aeronautics Act. The linked flight manual was not opened. The eight named airports with an expanded no-fly area are listed on the page and the maps were not checked.
The Order comes into force on 13 March 2019. It requires CAA permission to fly a small unmanned aircraft above 400 feet, unless permission from an aerodrome unit is the permission required. A small unmanned aircraft is 20 kg or less, other than a balloon or a kite. A flight restriction zone at a protected aerodrome with no traffic zone is a circle of two nautical miles, from the surface to 2,000 feet. Runway protection zones extend 5 km and are 1 km wide, or 1.5 km at Heathrow.
The Air Navigation Order 2016, which this instrument amends, was not opened. The explanatory note says a breach is an offence with a fine up to level 4, then 2,500 pounds. Later UK rules may have replaced these articles. This reading does not check that replacement.
The Unmanned Aircraft (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020
legislation.gov.uk2020-12-16uk-uas-exit-2020
The made XML was opened. Regulations 1 and 2 and the explanatory note were read. The instrument was made on 16 December 2020 and, apart from regulation 86, comes into force on IP completion day. Regulations 2 to 58 amend Regulation 2019/945, and regulations 59 to 84 amend Regulation 2019/947, so the retained EU drone rules keep working in the UK.
The amending regulations 3 to 85 were not read line by line. No substituted article is quoted from the unread body.
Official Journal of the European Union2019-06-11eu-reg-2019-947
The Official Journal text was opened. Articles 1 to 6 and the open-category annex were read. An open operation needs no prior authorisation, stays under 25 kg, in visual line of sight, and within 120 metres of the surface. Subcategory A2 stays at least 30 metres from uninvolved people, or 5 metres in a low-speed mode. Subcategory A3 stays at least 150 metres from residential, commercial, industrial, or recreational areas.
The EUR-Lex HTML and PDF URLs returned HTTP 202 with an empty body. This reading uses the Official Journal XHTML. The specific-category annex was not read line by line. Later amendments were not opened.
Official Journal of the European Union2019-06-11eu-reg-2019-945
The Official Journal text was opened. Articles 1 and 2 and the class C0 and C1 requirements were read. The regulation covers design and manufacture for operations under Regulation 2019/947, and it does not apply to aircraft meant only for indoors. Class C0 is under 250 g and 19 metres per second, with height limited to 120 metres. Class C1 is under 80 joules to a head, or under 900 g, and also 19 metres per second.
Classes C2 and above, and the market chapters, were not read. The EUR-Lex HTML URL returned HTTP 202 with an empty body. Later amendments were not opened.
The made XML was opened. The explanatory note was read. The instrument amends aviation-safety law for EU exit, including the Air Navigation Order 2016 and Regulation 2018/1139. The note says none of the changes alter the technical requirements and standards of that legislation.
The amending schedules were not read line by line. This instrument is not a drone operating-limit rule.
The URL that uses document number 2016-14948 returned a notice instituting an investigation of semiconductor devices, packages, and products containing them. It is not the small unmanned aircraft rule. That rule is FR Doc. 2016-15079.
Only the title and the opening of that notice were read. No patent claim is restated. The durable copy is the govinfo HTML of 24 June 2016. A federalregister path dated 28 June 2016 only redirects to this notice.
Section 4 and Table 3 were read. As of October 2016 the authors count 65 countries with national UAV rules, and say more than 80 percent of those rules were enacted from 2012 through 2016. In the 19-country table, only visual line of sight was widely shared. Weight, height, registration, insurance, and pilot papers differed. Cuba, Egypt, and Uzbekistan were listed as bans, and 15 countries had pending rules.
Section 5.3 and the close of Section 6 were read. The variables come only from the texts of national rules. Political will, enforcement staff, and whether flights happen were outside the study. A rule on paper does not show that flying is easy. The search stopped in October 2016, so the table is not a 2026 checklist.
A Comparative Analysis of the Legislation Evolution for Drone Use in OECD Countries
Drones2019-10-01paper-tsiamis-2019
Table 2 and the paragraph above it were read. All 35 countries had a flying-distance restriction. The authors count 32 with a weight class, 31 with a crowded-area restriction, and 29 that require a flight permission. Insurance, registration, and a pilot certificate appear in some countries and not others. Section 4 then offers the authors own draft of a shared rule. That draft is not a law.
The authors say in Section 3.1 that newer legal updates may exist after July 2018. They do not test enforcement. Their Table 3 is a proposal, including suggested heights, and is not an enacted rule. Their closing remark about a single EU policy is their 2019 reading, not a 2026 statute.
Management and Regulation of Drone Operation in Urban Environment: A Case Study
Social Sciences2022-10-13paper-tran-2022
Table 2, as printed, shows a flight permit as required in Vietnam, the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Singapore, Thailand, Canada, and Cambodia. The conclusion says Vietnam does not require a licence for drone users and does not classify drones by technical characteristics. Those two statements sit in the same paper.
Section 6 says Vietnam rules are still unclear for smaller civil aircraft. The foreign cells are the authors reading, not a 2026 statute. A 2015 near-miss count is cited from another source and was not rechecked. Diagrams of lanes and geo-fencing are taken from other papers.
Survey on Awareness of Drone Legislation in the Slovak Republic
TEM Journal2023-11paper-cekan-2023
Section 4 was read. On knowledge of the legislation, 14 percent were satisfied, 44 percent were not, and 42 percent could not judge. 61 percent thought pilot registration should be required. 56 percent thought a licence or qualification is required to fly legally. The conclusion says the students know some rules and are confused by differences between EU and Slovak practice.
The conclusion says no similar earlier survey was found, and a later survey of the general public is still only a plan. These 57 aviation students are not the Slovak public. The cited Slovak decisions and the paper own sentences on US Remote ID were not reopened here. This is not a 2026 legal checklist.
Reconciling Registration Policies for Unmanned Aircraft with Unmanned Aircraft Ownership Characteristics
Drones2023paper-henderson-2023
The abstract says New Zealand had no unmanned-aircraft registration when the paper was written. Among 919 users, personally owned aircraft had a mean of 0.43 users per aircraft. Organisationally owned aircraft had a mean of 2.33 users per aircraft. The conclusion prefers registering the operator, as in the UK and EASA states, rather than each aircraft.
The sample is not a random draw of New Zealand. 97.61 percent identified as male, the mean age was 57, and most were recreational users or club members. The policy advice is the author inference. The global policy review is not a 2026 statute.
Comparative Analysis of Unmanned Aircraft Regulations for the Development of Startups
Journal of Technology Management and Innovation2021paper-bete-2021
The conclusion says the 25 countries do not share one standard. Each state sets rules for the risk it sees. The results text says only some countries allow broad commercial freedom, and it names a 120 metre or 400 foot ceiling as a common height, with exceptions. A claim that China authorises aircraft over 5,000 kilograms is the authors reading of a cited CAAC circular.
The search stopped in April 2019. Machine translation was part of the method, so non-English rules may be misread. The China weight claim was not checked against the cited CAAC file. This is not a 2026 checklist and not a startup ranking.
An Exploratory Investigation of UAS Regulations in Europe and the Impact on Effective Use and Economic Potential
Drones2021paper-alamouri-2021
Section 3.2 says the 2019 implementing rules sort operations by risk into open, specific, and certified. The conclusion says the new EU rules require documentation that grows with the risk, the aircraft, and the operator, and that a SORA class can make safety investment easier to justify for a producer.
The paper is the authors reading of the EU framework around 2021. It does not measure a market. The SORA tables are taken from JARUS guidance. Member-state practice after 2021 was not tested. It is not a 2026 legal checklist.
The closing analysis says a privacy tort needs a highly offensive intrusion, and that standard had not been set for drones in court. It says the Privacy Act offence of interference with privacy may be easier to use, but the commissioner had held that if a drone is not recording, no collection occurs.
This is one author legal argument as of May 2016, not a survey and not a judgment. Later New Zealand privacy statutes were not checked. Aviation rules are mentioned only as background. It is not a 2026 privacy checklist.
Exploring the Challenges Posed by Regulations for the Use of Drones in Agriculture in the African Context
Land2021-02-06paper-ayamga-2021
The conclusion says the main barriers were a lack of skilled staff for drone rules and a lack of processes to buy and import drones. It gives Kenya as a case where a rule was approved and then withdrawn after stakeholders objected.
Nine papers and four interviews are a small base. The search stopped in 2018. The Kenya episode is the authors account. This is not a 2026 map of African law.
Regulating the Use of Commercial Drones: Quest for Finding a Space Within Airspace, an Asian Perspective
International Journal of African and Asian Studies2021paper-raju-2021
The conclusion says drone rules differ by country. It says the EU and the US focus on airspace integration and privacy, and that an ICAO model UAS regulation was open for comment until 28 February 2020 and was not mandatory.
The paper says the common EU drone regulation was not yet in force, so it predates full application. Country claims in the conclusion were not rechecked against statutes. Security incidents are mentioned and are not described here.
Drones legal framework: the new Regulation (EU) 2018/1139
Cuadernos de Derecho Transnacional2019-03paper-castellanos-2019
Section VII says Regulation 2018/1139 does not regulate unmanned aircraft only by weight, unlike Regulation 216/2008, which did not apply to drones under 150 kg. It says Spanish Royal Decree 1036/2017 set conditions for some specialised flights, including visual line of sight, 500 m horizontally, and 120 m above the ground.
The Royal Decree was not opened. The 500 m and 120 m figures are the article account of that decree, not a check of the decree. The article predates the full application of the 2019 EU drone rules. It is not a 2026 checklist.
Sustainable Usage of Freight Drones in City Centers, Proposition of Regulations for Safe Usage
Sustainability2021paper-alamouri-freight-2021
The conclusion says freight-drone rules are still early, and that cities, users, and lawyers need to write rules together. Section 3 says Belgium splits aircraft at 5 kg, with 300 feet for the heavier class and 150 feet for the lighter class, as the paper reads a 2016 royal order.
The country paragraphs are the authors summaries. The Canada figures in section 3 do not match the Part IX sections opened in 2026 and come from 2018 guides. Those country rules are not restated here as current law.
Unmanned Aircraft Systems: A Latin American Review and Analysis from the Colombian Context
Applied Sciences2023paper-sanchez-2023
Section 4 says the FAA limits altitude to about 122 metres and speed to 161 kilometres per hour, and that Mexico NOM-107-SCT3-2019 sorts micro, small, and big aircraft. The conclusion says the authors recategorisation is a guide for Colombia, not an enacted law.
The FAA figures were not checked against the part 107 text. Country claims were not reopened. The Colombian table is a proposal. This is not a 2026 legal survey.
Regulating unmanned aircraft systems in Antarctica: challenges and collaborative solutions
Frontiers in Marine Science2024-12-23paper-chen-2024
The conclusion says UAS rules in Antarctica are fragmented and that there is no single framework. It says parties already have duties under the Antarctic Treaty system, and it proposes a minimum standard that still lets states and operators set stricter rules.
The country tables in the middle of the paper were not read line by line. The proposed database and guidelines are the authors proposal, not a treaty text that was opened.
Urban Air Mobility: Systematic Review of Scientific Publications and Regulations for Vertiport Design and Operations
Drones2022paper-schweiger-2022
The conclusion says vertiport is now the usual name for the ground site, and that airspace operations were the strongest focus of the 49 papers, ahead of general design and capacity. It says most network studies look at U.S. applications.
The 49 papers and the cited design circulars were not reopened. This is a review of vertiport literature through 2021, not a 2026 aerodrome rule.
Challenges for the Drone Logistics Sector in Complying with Dangerous Goods Regulations: A Case Study in a UK Healthcare Setting
Drones2026paper-grote-2026
The conclusion says current ways to show compliance are unlikely to scale. It says many places have little drone-specific dangerous-goods law, and that UK, EU, and US procedures are heavy. It recommends drone text in the technical instructions and laboratory tests.
The drop-test steps are not restated. The packaging firm co-author is disclosed by the paper. This is not a reading of the dangerous-goods technical instructions themselves.
Regulatory Frameworks and Development Standards for Civilian Unmanned Aircraft Systems
Drones2026paper-aniculaesei-2026
The conclusion says the European rules authorise operations by risk, but do not say how software-heavy aircraft should be developed and checked. The proposed lifecycle is the authors method. It is not a certification standard.
The paper says it looks mainly at European rules, not U.S. variations, and that the lifecycle is conceptual and not endorsed as a rule. The source regulations were not reopened for this note.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Technologies, Applications, and Regulatory Frameworks: A Scoping Review
Drones2026paper-mbarak-2026
The conclusion says short battery life, sensitivity to weather, and complex regulatory requirements still limit wide use. It says success depends on early contact with regulators, planning, and a realistic look at cost, not on technology alone.
Section 5, the regulatory chapter, was not read line by line. Country rules in that chapter are not restated here. The 109 sources were not reopened.
How Do Dangerous Goods Regulations Apply to Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles Transporting Medical Cargos?
Drones2021paper-grote-2021
The conclusion says little published work explains how the air dangerous-goods rules apply to drone logistics. It quotes the UK CAA as saying carriage of dangerous goods by drones is a new area where rules and guidance are likely to change as evidence grows.
The packing steps are not restated. The Technical Instructions and the IATA book were not reopened. A later edition is mentioned only as the authors note that it did not change their findings.
Development of an Organisational Certification Process for Specific Category Drone Operations
Drones2022paper-oz-2022
The model splits a certificate holder into an operational team, a risk assessor who runs SORA or a predefined risk assessment, and an internal authority that must stay independent and accept or refuse the flight.
This is a proposed process, not a certificate the authors were granted. The EASA light-operator pages they cite were not reopened.
Retrieving Relevant EU Drone Legislation with Citation Analysis
Drones2023paper-vandijck-2023
The conclusion says the expert list and the citation network overlap substantially. One search starts from a recent law and follows its references. A wider search raises recall and then lets the user pick a community of laws.
National statutes were not in the network they built. The method finds candidate laws. It does not state an operating limit.
Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Drones and Legal Uncertainties
European Journal of Risk Regulation2022paper-hartmann-2022
The conclusion says the applicable rules differ even between similar legal systems, and that operators without specialist advice face a barrier. It says Irish tort law is close to English law but not the same, and France, like Germany, is a civil-law system.
The country chapters were not read line by line. The comparison is not a 2026 statute. No distance or weight is taken from it.
Navigating the Skies: A Cross-Country Exploration of Drone Policies in Europe, USA and China
Journal of Law, Market & Innovation2024paper-granieri-2024
The conclusion says information security is a strategic and regulatory problem, that some precautions exist, and that manufacturers, firms, governments, and the public still have a long way to go. It does not set a flight limit.
The country statutes were not reopened. The conclusion is the authors judgment, not a law. Cyber attack methods are not restated.
Conclusion to the legal evolution and regulatory challenges of unmanned aircraft systems in Europe
Civil Regulation of Autonomous Unmanned Aircraft Systems in Europe2024paper-hartmann-ch17-2024
It says Regulation 2018/1139 lets the EU adopt drone rules regardless of weight, but liability is not harmonised. EU regulations apply directly in member states. The UK keeps EU rules inside national law and is no longer bound as a member.
The eleven country chapters are not in this PDF. Slovenia, Cyprus, Romania, Hungary, Germany, France, and Finland are named, not rechecked.
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs): Current State, Emerging Technologies, and Future Trends
Drones2025paper-ariante-2025
Section 2 says Regulation 2019/947 sorts civil operations into open, specific, and certified, and that many unmanned aircraft fly below 500 feet. The conclusion says the hard problem is joining air-traffic management with unmanned traffic management.
The regulation section is the authors summary. The 2019 regulation was not reopened for this note. Country rules in the review are not restated as 2026 law.
Enabling Technologies for the Navigation and Communication of UAS Operating in the Context of BVLOS
Electronics2024paper-politi-2024
The conclusion says further technical work is needed before risk-based beyond-visual-line-of-sight missions are reliable. It names collision avoidance, redundant links, and autonomous navigation as the pillars it discusses. It states no legal distance.
The architecture section was not read line by line. Collision-avoidance methods are named and not reproduced. This is not a statute.
Proposals of Processes and Organizational Preventive Measures against Malfunctioning of Drones and User Negligence
Drones2023paper-scheau-2023
The conclusion says 70 percent of respondents treat the user as the person responsible when the users negligence causes harm. The paper then discusses technical and organisational prevention, not a statute.
The sample is those 233 firm respondents, not the public of any country. The prevention steps are not restated as a compliance manual.
U-Space Concept of Operations: A Key Enabler for Opening Airspace to Emerging Low-Altitude Operations
Aerospace2020paper-barrado-2020
U-space is defined as services that let drones share airspace with manned aircraft. Airspace volumes are sorted by the conflict resolution available. The architecture asks which services come from an air-navigation provider, a local authority, or a U-space provider.
The authors say the concept is not final and was not validated. Urban air mobility and flight above very low level were left out. The services are a proposal, not a regulation that was opened.
A Review of the Legal, Regulatory and Practical Aspects Needed to Unlock Autonomous Beyond Visual Line of Sight Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations
Journal of Intelligent & Robotic Systems2022paper-hartmann-jirs-2022
The conclusion says a remote pilot can face legal consequences even when the flight follows the rules. It says certification still comes mainly from hardware practice and misses steps that software-heavy products need.
The legal summary is the authors account. The UK and EU texts were not reopened for this note. No operating distance is taken from the paper.
Safety and privacy regulations for unmanned aerial vehicles: A multiple comparative analysis
Technology in Society2022paper-lee-2022
The abstract says safety is more salient than privacy, and that privacy rules mostly follow general digital-privacy guidance. The Japan paragraph says a 2015 aviation-act amendment required permission and barred flight near airports, at or above 150 metres, over dense areas, at night, and beyond visual line of sight.
The Japan sentences are the authors summary of statutes that were not reopened here. A 2022 weight change is named and not quoted. This is not a current checklist.
Integrating drones into NHS patient diagnostic logistics systems: Flight or fantasy?
PLOS ONE2022-12-22paper-oakey-2022
With a relaxed personnel rule the authors cost the mixed service at about 2,964 pounds a week, 56 percent above the van service, while tailpipe carbon dioxide excluding taxis falls about 20 percent. Per-sample aircraft costs run from 1.23 to 58.50 pounds. Vans stay cheaper at every site. Travel time to aircraft-served sites falls 72 percent when the weather allows.
Airspace-management costs and dangerous-goods training were left out. The figures are this case, not a national health-service result. The personnel rule they relax was not opened as a statute.

For those aircraft, the fastest way to avoid or leave a no-fly zone was to take manual control and leave by the closest point. The authors say no abrupt manoeuvre outside the aircraft envelope was required. They say this may not hold for more automated aircraft.
The trial logs were not reopened. The result is for the aircraft they flew, not a rule that every pilot must take manual control.
The Blue UAS page says the Cleared List is moving to the Defense Contract Management Agency. It ties that move to a 10 July 2025 memo it titles Unleashing U.S. Military Drone Dominance. The page presents the list as a path for U.S. defense buyers.
The memo was not opened. The DCMA list did not load. No aircraft, price, or use is stated. This note is not a tactical guide.
Defence Drone Strategy: the UK approach to Defence Uncrewed Systems
UK Ministry of Defence2024-02-22uk-defence-drone-strategy
The vision is for the UK to lead in uncrewed defence systems. Four objectives follow: faster acquisition, a resilient industrial base, digital architectures for integration, and a culture of innovation. The introduction says the UK has provided thousands of uncrewed systems, and states a continuing 2.5 billion pounds a year of military support to Ukraine, including hundreds of millions for uncrewed platforms. Those figures are the ministry own words.
This is a ministerial strategy, not an independent study. Service pages in the PDF describe military employment. This institute does not restate those pages or explain weapons. The PDF does not audit the Ukraine figures. It is not the UK civil flight rule.

NTSB proposal to amend the definition of an unmanned aircraft accident
Federal Register2021-05-21news-fr-2021-09807
The 21 May 2021 proposal would drop the 300-pound line from the definition of an unmanned aircraft accident and use an airworthiness certificate or approval instead. Death or serious injury would still count at any weight. Comments were due 20 July 2021. The current definition it quotes still uses 300 pounds.
This is a proposal, not a final rule. A later final rule was not opened. Hobby operations are said to be outside the intended investigations.

The Air Navigation (Minimum Age for Operators of Small Unmanned Aircraft) Regulations 2019
legislation.gov.uk2019-09-27news-uk-si-2019-1286
Made 27 September 2019 and in force 1 October 2019. The age for a certificate of registration as a small unmanned aircraft operator under article 94C of the Air Navigation Order 2016 is 18. The operator is the person who has the management of the aircraft.
The 2016 Order itself was not opened. A later 2020 order, read separately, also requires 18 for an operator registration number.
Made 16 March 2022 and in force 13 April 2022. It updates Air Navigation Order cross-references after Regulation 216/2008 was replaced by the Basic Regulation 2018/1139. It does not set a drone distance or a weight limit.
This is a cross-reference order. It is not a reading of the Basic Regulation itself.
Made 8 June 2022. Most of it is in force 1 July 2022. Regulation 2(b) is in force 1 January 2023. Regulation 6 omits paragraphs 2, 3, and 5 of Article 23 of retained Regulation 2019/947. The note says those commencement lines were redundant. The rest updates Annex 16 citations and balloon and sailplane licensing.
The omitted paragraphs were not reopened in the 2019 regulation. This instrument does not state a new flight distance.
The Air Navigation (Amendment) Order 2018, small unmanned aircraft provisions
legislation.gov.uk2018-05-30news-uk-si-2018-623
The explanatory note and the small-unmanned-aircraft articles were read. From 30 July 2018 the 400-foot limit applies to every small unmanned aircraft, not only those over 7 kg. From 30 November 2019 an aircraft of 250 grams or more needs a registered operator and a pilot acknowledgement of competency. The remote pilot flies or monitors the controls. The operator has the management of the aircraft.
Not every ancillary article was read line by line. The 2019 order, already recorded, later changed the aerodrome zone. This 2018 text is not the current UK rule by itself.
Article 265D and the explanatory note were read. The open-category remote-pilot age is lowered from 16 to 12. The specific-category age is lowered to 14, or lower for a model club if an authorisation says so. An individual must be 18 before the CAA issues an operator registration number. The order also turns breaches of Regulation 2019/947 into offences.
The lists of offences were not read line by line. The 2021 regulations that omit Articles 9 and 9A were not folded into one current text here.
Regulation 3 and the explanatory note were read. The instrument omits Articles 9 and 9A of retained Regulation 2019/947, which set the minimum age for remote pilots. Most of the instrument comes into force on 28 January 2021. Regulation 2 comes into force on 20 May 2021.
The aircrew amendments in the same instrument were not read line by line. The UK ages that remain are in the 2020 Order, which was read separately.
MLIT notice amending the unmanned-aircraft prohibited-airspace notice
Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism2022-12-12news-mlit-notice-2022-1257
Dated 12 December 2022 and in force on the day of promulgation. It updates article numbers after a 2022 ordinance. The airspace tables are marked as omitted. A separate article still sets the year in a related notice as Reiwa 2, which is 2020.
No airport list was in the file. The prohibited-objects article only updates a cross-reference. Those objects are not listed here.
The Unmanned Aircraft (Amendment) Regulations 2025
legislation.gov.uk2025-10-20news-uk-si-2025-1106
Regulation 1 and the explanatory note were read. Most of the instrument comes into force on 1 January 2026. Some provisions come into force on 1 January 2028. Class names change from C to UK. Aircraft under 100 grams, and aircraft meant only for an enclosed area, leave the delegated regulation. An open-category operator with a camera and a mass of 100 grams or more must register. A registration number is issued only at age 18.
The amending regulations and the class schedules were not read line by line. The night-light sentence seen in the body is not restated until that schedule is read through.
Regulations Amending the Canadian Aviation Regulations (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems)
Canada Gazette, Part II2019-01-09news-canada-gazette-2019-11
The regulatory-impact summary was read. It says the amendments add Part IX for remotely piloted aircraft from 250 grams to 25 kilograms maximum take-off weight, not counting the control system, and bar reckless flight at any weight. Basic operations are outside controlled airspace and more than 30 metres from people. Advanced operations include controlled airspace, flight within 30 metres of people, and flight within 3 nautical miles of an airport centre.
The regulation text after the summary was not read. Later amendments, including SOR/2025-70, are not folded into this 2019 description.

Made 3 February 2026, in force 3 March 2026. It corrects a defect in S.I. 2025/850. It inserts points UAS.OPEN.040(A1) and UAS.OPEN.040(2A) into the tethered-aircraft offence. The note says those points apply to a tethered small unmanned aircraft of 250 grams or more, and the CAA may permit a flight that misses them. It drops "of 250g or more" from parenthetical lines in Schedule 9 to the 2021 Act, and points the implementing-regulation definition to 2019/947 as amended by S.I. 2025/1106.
The metre distances in those two points are not stated in this order. S.I. 2025/1106 schedules were not line-read. Police powers in Schedule 9 are not described.
In force on 19 August 2021, except articles 8 and 12(b) on 6 September 2021. The zone runs from the surface to 2,000 feet, in a five-kilometre circle centred on the largest launch pad. A protected space site is a spaceport or a movable sea landing installation, and not a certified, Government, or national licensed aerodrome.
The order also renames the aerodrome zone phrase. Rocket, medical, microlight, and obstacle articles were read and are not drone distances. The penalty table names the new article and states no fine. This note does not describe enforcement.

Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore2025-10-28news-sg-brid-2025
From 1 December 2025 an unmanned aircraft over 250 grams must carry broadcast remote identification, unless the operator holds an operator permit and uses FlyItSafe, or the flight is indoors or enclosed. On 15 October 2025 about 17,300 registered aircraft lacked built-in equipment, and 6,300 free modules had been issued. A false or missing broadcast can draw a fine up to 10,000 dollars, up to six months' imprisonment, or both.

From 14 February 2025 there is no cap on how many unmanned aircraft over 250 grams one person or company may register. Before that, a citizen or permanent resident could register five, and others one. Commercial flights up to 400 feet are allowed every day in designated areas generally more than 6 kilometres from aerodromes, and those permits move from five working days to three. Above 400 feet there, or above 200 feet outside, flights stay weekend-only.

Part 101 covers unmanned aircraft under 25 kilograms. Other flights need Part 102. They keep the aircraft in sight unless first-person view or beyond visual line of sight is allowed, stay at or below 120 metres, and stay at least 4 kilometres from an aerodrome, unless the instrument says otherwise.
