The Unmanned Aircraft (Amendment) Regulations 2025 mostly come into force on 1 January 2026. Class names change from C to UK. An open-category operator with a camera and a mass of 100 g or more must register, and a registration number is issued only at age 18. Some serial-number, remote-identification, and geo-awareness duties start on 1 January 2028.
